E4OD torque converter shutter

I've got a 93 bronco with a 351 and E4OD with a 155K. It has a bad vibration like a riding over a washboard, when your at cruising speed and want to accelerate without downshifting. I know it is torque converter shutter. Ihave done a fluid exchange and that worked for about 2000 miles. I am now on my second draining of the converter and pan and still have the vibration. Has anyone been succesfull in eliminating this or is just simply time for a new converter. and if so should I just bag getting a new converter and go for a rebuilt tranny altogether. any help is much appreciated

i've herd many stories bout pre 94 E4OD having torque converter problems as well as clutch pack problems. my advice is find one from a 95 or newer and install it in yours >-
