Anybody know what has to be done to drop an e.f.i. motor into an older model truck? Does the fuel tank have to change? Can the computer work independently with only hot connection? Thanks

Youll need the entire engine manegment harness and computer and yes youll need the fuel tank with the pump in it and the fuel lines pressure and return , It can be done but your best bet would be to have a donor truck to get everything off of and go from there . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I hate to disagree with blade but you don't need the efi fuel tank. There are extern pumps that match the pressure of volume of the intake pumps. While the efi tank has a benefit of baffles to keep fuel around the pump a non efi tank will work also. I have a stock 1966 Bronco tank feeding a TBI system with an extern pump. Up hill, down hill and side hill the pump hasn't lost it's prime yet. I am careful not to go below 1/4 tank though, but where my eb and I go, that is a no brainer. Next is the '81 FSB and then the '57 Fairlane 500.
