I am going to order dual exhaust for my 94 Bronco; problem is, I can't find any. I looked every where and all I can find is headers. Where can I find a dual exhaust system!?!

local ford dealer will list a few in this years Motorsport (05) catalog, and you can adapt them if your mechanical. The problem is most of the ex's are for mustangs, and are expensive. I had a local shop dual out the ex on my 91. might want to check local reg's on that type of upgrade.

Basically you have a couple of choices with the pipes. 1. bring them both down the right side and then both out the same side or take the left side pipe back over and out the left side. 2. Add atleast 4" of lift and bring the left pipe back over the transfer case. 3. Do something like Freak did with his exhaust http://bronconine.proboards30.com/index.cg...read=1112121934

Good luck,

:)>-

any muffler shop can bend one up for you. shop around to find the best price. and route them fishtail style (exit 90* behind rear tires)

my good friend built mine. have a couple pics. essentially i run headman short headers, one pipe crosses over to the passengerside and duel pipes run to 1 dual inlet 2" - 3" single outlet muffler. it's all tucked up inside my framerail. this system looks rough but it has no leaks and cost me about 50bucks to make( time not included) my opinion is that i have the best of both worlds. i have excelent flow above 3500rpm and i get to keep all my low end tq.... the same can't be said about true duel exaust. as well my system takes up less space and weighs less than dual ex

i dont know if you were implying that true duals rob low end torque or high end power, but since i added true duals, i have not felt a parasitic effect on either, in fact, there was a slight gain

not implying anything. fact is dual exaust lowers backpressure and lowers exaust velosity. when you hit the higher rpm that is when duals work, but then you have a better chance of experiencing valve float unless you have better than stock valve springs. make no mistake, you need some backpressure to make tq. you wouldn't be able to determine any loss/gain without a dyno. not having enough velosity also means that scavenging is more difficult. that is why single ex systems are becoming more popular. pipe diameter plays a big role as well, too large and and you will loose alot more in all mentioned areas.

what is you say is true, in theory. but every truck behaves differently than others. there is still considerable backpressure in my system, existing through stock exhaust manifolds and 40 series flows. and for QUANTITATIVE results, you'd have to put it on a dyno, but for real-world and seat of the pants measurments, i felt a gain in performance, both torque and HP. adding the snorkel, which became a true cool air intake really helped to magnify the addition

you say you gained tq and hp but what you really did was move your powerband, dual catback systems are only worth 5-7hp. on a 5-6000lb truck i find it hard to believe you felt a significant gain in power especially when you still have a restriction on your manifolds. that might net you 3-5hp and less tq. and your cai is worth 5-6hp but again since you still run stock man, you are not getting the air out any faster, so nock that down to 4-5. that combined 10 hp over all is a marginal gain.
