Looking for a source for both of the DPFE silicone high temp hoses; Heard that dealer price is about $32.00 for each according to posts by other Ford owners in internet searches. Any better info on a recent dealer price?

Will call a few dealers Monday, but could use some "leverage" info.

Didn't see any listed in on-line NAPA, ADV Auto, RockAuto, etc.

I did have a mgfr source a few years ago, but they are out of business now.

Finally found a local dealer that has each hose for $10.00!

They want $150.00 for the DPFE Sensor though and will not discount; so getting it off new thru Amazon w/fee S&H for $60.00

Wow $150 for the DPFE? Last year when on vacation I got a code for what could have been a clogged passage, my egr position sensor, or DPFE (if I remember correctly) I was advised that when they replace one, they routinely replace them both, and so I did. I am sure that I got them both for significantly less than $100. That was at a Ford dealer.

Is it now that our trucks are getting older they are hitting us harder for parts?

Joe,

They all wanted full retail price w/no discounting. In our 20 mile radius of Ford dealers, 2 have closed in past 12 months; so there is one left, the other is 25 miles away and wanted a deposit to "order"' altho they prob have it in stock. I believe all are reducing parts inventories and want the most profit. Some claim shipping costs are the reason. .. yeah, right.

It's prob due to lack of competition, for MC parts.

Bought an Adv Auto Parts abttery for the Deere riding mower Sat; prices have gone up on them too! Sales gal was pulling a $50.00 batty out when I went into shock.. All I could do ws say NO, NO NO!,,lol

She says the reg mngr told em that acid and lead prices have gone up.. yeah, right.

Sunday, I did a little runing around in the Bronco. Started he up, took my son to work, then made three other starts and stops. At the last place, I call AAA cause the battery was stone dead! It just so happened that I cleaned my terminals the day before. 10 volts at the battery 14 with the engine running.

I went to Strauss, for $70 got a full size battery, with an 8 year warranty!

Lead acid.

You must have succker written on your forehead, or they're mistaking something else for a money roll in your front pocket! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I bought the WalMart version of the INTERSTATE MEGATRON .. 60.00

Review, Walmart Everstart Maxx 65N; 850 CCA, 1000 CA (manufactured by Johnson Controls) http://broncozone.com/forums/index.php?sho...amp;#entry60785

It is mfg. by Johnson Controls & produces this EXACT SAME battery (CCA, etc.) for many auto makers and retailers under different product names such as:

Motorcraft

The original DPFE sensor died (DTC PO401); DPFE comes in as .15 VDC during KOEO test between REF & Ground

Found the Downstream hose (INTAKE) had a 1.5" torn section where it connects to the sensor's REF PORT & was very loose (btw, no hose clamp, but other hose has a factory spring clamp). Appears to have been razor cut during assy. I never touched it since buying the Bronco new.

Upstream hose was really short; one helluva kink in bend near DPFE and hse only was able to slip onto ****** about 1/2". This had a Steel Spring Hose Clamp on it. I never noticed it before.
