I git a 85 bronco with a small block 427 9.5 compression and carb.It has a new starter, plugs, wires, cap, button, and pick up coil in the dizzy.I know the battery is low.It turns over and over as u pat teh pass then it will once or twice or it will back fire really lound out the pipes. So I hooked my ranger to this morning ,it spun over quick and backfired.I backked the timinf off a little and it tried to crank but still want.Once it warms up it will crank.I had water in 2 months ago and I droppped the tank draned it patched the holes that was in the bottom betweenit and the skid plate and cleaned the line and carb out.It still didnt crank right so that when i put a starter on it and it has done fine since.Butit has always sputtered a little when up first crank when its cold.I **** at adjusting carbs.I never can get them just right. It has a manual choke which I never use .Never had too_Once it starts it would sit there and idle fine.just getting it started is the problem.Had the timing set at a total of 32 degrees..Any fesh ideas would be helpful.I am thing its a combo of low battery, timing and carb adjustment.Any ideas will help.

first, with a carb unless it has been tuned way out of wack, when its cold it should never be able to start without the choke. find out how to set your carb back to original. then try starting with the choke, when an engine is cold it needs more fuel to start than it does when the engine is warm.if you have to find a carb that will fit that is on a vehicle that is already running. if it doesn't work then look at timing and electrical.

and work on your spelling and sentence structure if you want us to be able to understand what you're trying to say.
