How far along are you with this or are you just starting to consider it ? Quite honestly the best approach will probably be to just buy a kit from someone like James Duff or Currie. Look around and see who has what & educate yourself. Most of the cheaper kits (and I mean inexpensive cheap, not lame cheap) use chevy calipers. You CAN swap in parts from the old Lincoln 9" disk brake rearends but they're getting to be scarce in the boneyards and the freaking calipers will just **** ya if you ever have to replace one, the Chevy based kits really are the way to go. I honestly haven't done one of these in a long time so maybe someone has a kit based on Ford parts by now but you'll have to ck around. so, just avoid the lincoln swaps because they're pricey as **** & check out the kits available because it's going to be a lot cheaper and a lot less bull$hit than trying to piece one together yourself.

The absolute easiest 9" disc swap is made by BC Broncos. Call & talk to Chuck. It uses Caddy calipers & CJ rotors. It is easier to get to the axle bearings than the Lincoln swap and the kit takes less than 3 hours from start to finish.

I bought a TSM kit, I think thats what it was called. It bolts up great but I also was wondering where to get the rotors if I ever needed to replace them. The calipers are Chevy car like a Monte Carlo for example. The rotors in the kit were drilled 5x5.5 with no other holes. Maybe from a Jeep?

I used '85 CJ rotors, a bracket from Summit or other race car outfitter (4 got now) the late 80's (also 4 got) Riveria/ElDerado calaber (I need e-brake for regis. on the roadin this state) and a Lincoln Mark VIII MC for disk/disk change over. The frame mounted valve is screwed up & I still am wrking on it. Not perfict yet. I agree, U may wanna get the kits as suggested. I just can't afford it.
