Hey guys i have a 1985 300 I6. My problem is I finally got her running. She runs great, very strong running. Any way after i shut her off and let her sit over night it wouldnt start back up. it acts as if there is no battery in her at all. Is there a short somewhere or what. Where do i start looking???

How old is the battery? It could be a dead cell in the battery and it won't hold a charge.

One thing you could do is get the battery all charged up and then disconnect it when the truck is parked for the night. If it is dead in the morning, you got the culpret in hand. If it works fine in the morning, you got some further looking to do for a short.

Good luck,

:)>-

I had that happen to me once. Really good battery but everytime I tried to start it it would just **** everything. I know it is simple but I have found that sometimes simple is what usually goes wrong. Did you check the battery cables? My negitive cable was bad and was killing the battery. I got a new battery and it killed it too, checked the alt, it was fine, couldn't tell by looking at it but ended up that that was what it was. I hope it is as simple for you.
