So, you have a 351 that went bad, and now have a chance to upgrade to something better, yet remain reliable

First, the 93 F250 question - no C6 behind it, it had an E4OD

You can install a 460 fairly easily, but will have to change mounts, radiators and exhaust. It's not hard, but could be time consuming... but it appears as tho that's not a problem. If it were me, putting a big block in an 89, I'd look for an engine/trans from the same year, give or take a year - just to keep it as simple as possible

i agree with david,if you want cubes and power paw sells a 427 stroker kit for the 351w.

I know how your girl feels I am driving the same truck that I learned to drive on 18 years ago,I don't care about what it looks like it's mine and none will understand it quite like I do.

spend your money wisely and if I may suggest rebuild it yourself the internet is full of info and anyone here would be more than happy to give advice,it's not hard just have to follow directions and check everything 2 times sometimes 3.

farm out the machine work and buy a tq wrench and you and your daughter put that truck together....together.

Thanks a bunch, for the reply...

I will check into the 427 as well as the 460.

The 427 would be much more economical considering I have had exhaust replaced (w/true duals = drum with fiberglass top) from JBA

/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' /><' /> . That's a beautiful truck. Darned if I would sell it either. Sounds like a truck to give to your daughter when she is old enough to drive.

Good luck,

:)>-
