I recently installed a Centech wiring harness into my 73. I'm having a problem getting my dash lights to illuminate. They just barely glow as if they're not getting enough juice. The old headlight dimmer switch was replaced with the new harness. Currently, they're installed in series. Does anybody have a recommendation?

The lights for the dash (lights, hazard, heater, etc.) are two sealed units. There are 2 seperate plastic pieces that contain the lights within them. If you have one light out, you have to replace the entire thing. There really isn't any way to replace the bulbs for them. The only thing that you can do is to make sure the light dimmer is turned all the way up on your light switch. That will dim/brighten the spedo & dash lights. But, like I said, if you have bulbs out inside of the actual plastic housing, then there is nothing that you can do other than replace it.

I'm not familiar with the Painless harness. My only advice is to work slow, read twice, and if you get stumped don't be afraid to call for some tech support.
