dash gage reset for tire size

i got a four inch lift and upgraded from the stock tires to 33's. my speedo. is about 5mph off. meanning it is 5mph slower than i am actually going. plus it isn't giving me the accurate milage so i can't even figure out my gas milage. i need to know how to reset the computer so the truck knows it's riding on 33's. and another thing i don't think that a 33 is exactly 33 inches. How do i get it as accurate as possible. need some guidence. thanks

Right, measure dia with tires @ PSI that you prefer, unloaded (jack it up)

& The module can only be programmed 6 times; if you ever need more changes, consider the Superlift TruSpeed

is my speedo mechanical or electric? It was right on with the 33s and now i run 31s on the street and it is off, hasn't really concerned me but, if I were to change it I'd set it for the 31s

Yours is mechanical, you need to change the speedo gear if you want it accurate for tire size

You didn't like the Avenger?!? That boat rocks, but a still picture never quite measures up to an action shot. I tried getting a mud one in the fall but it looks like she's standing still, must be my wheels on the other side were the only ones spinning, danged open diffs

Ford limited it to 6 bec they wanted to save chip memory space, etc.

take your time and read the info there by other pals and go thru it on a dry run so you can get it on...

btw, a dealer or shop/tire store do charge about $100.00 + to do it and they can still eff it up.
