Hello all,

My friend is taking forever to fix the dashboard lights and put the window on the track, so I told him not to worry about it, lets just get the title switched and I'll deal with it.

The dash panel doesnt light up, its not the fuse, because the radio and check engine/seatbelt and any other little lights where the guages are work, and my friend said that one fuse is for them all. The speedometer, gas tank oil pressure, etc doesnt light up and we believe that is just the bulbs behind it burnt out. My question is, how hard is it to take the dash apart? I'm usually pretty good at stuff like this, but never have taken a dashboard apart. I just want to know if you would reccomend an unexperianced person to take it apart, is it just some screws and wires, or is it more difficult.

Secondly, I need to put the drivers side window on the track. I've taken apart my dad's 91 Caravan door panel to fix the lock, and it wasn't hard, I was wondering if the bronco would be difficult.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the Zone > What year truck is it? Those items aren't very difficult at all. If we knew what year truck it is we could give you a more specific answer :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> . Add some of your trucks vital statistics in your signature. Also, post some pictures when you get a chance.

Good luck,

:)>-

Thanks for the input, its a 91, XLT 5.0L V8. Its all black, could use a paintjob though Minor rust spots on hood and tailgate, and some paint chipping on the roof and hood. The interior is beautiful, its like brand new, the previous owner(s) really took great care of it.

I should be changing the title over on thursday, but as of know it sits 4 houses down the street from my at my friends house. When I get more batteries for my camera, I'll snap some pics. Its really a great buy, I'm getting it for $800, the price my friend bought it for. And hes already ut atleast $400 of work into it (new fuel pump, fuses, spark plugs, wiring, and some other things), but since im a close friend, he's selling it to me for the price he got it for.

I didnt think they would be too dificult to take apart, thanks for the advice.

Hmm, you really think that could be the problem? Even though the headlights work? What would you think was wrong, wires cut or bad? Switch just old?

Yeah Bluesman is right the headlight switch is more than likely it and the reason being is that the headlight switch also contains the dimmer controls for the dash lights mine would blink on and off very annoying at night until I changed the switch so Im betting with Bluesman on this one . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
