Dana 44 drain plug?????

Hey guys I want to put a drain plug in the Dana 44 in the front of my 85 Bronco. I was wondering if anyone has tried this before. I want to make sure the stamped housing is thick enough for a plug. That would make it alot easier for fluid changes. Thanks alot.

I think the front side of that case is too thin for doing something like that but this is a good method.
