I have made this presentation once before but something happend in the cyber world and all of a sudden I could not log in. So now I am a new member from September 07 instead of December 06. I am from Stockholm Sweden and I have a Ford Bronco 1989 Eddie Bauer. 351 W C6. I am not using the car as a daily driver, as the gas prices in Sweden, are sky high. Mainly using it for weekends for towing a boattrailer or just some cruising. See picture

I have 2 questions: The first one is regarding the cruise control. It works perfect but for one thing. When I hit the brake pedal I can hear that it is disengaged, but when I take the foot off the pedal it resumes. Is there something wrong in the amplifier and is there a possibility to check it with a multimeter?

Second question: Last weekend when I was leaving my drive way the tranny would not shift from the first gear and it took me just a minute to find out what was wrong. There was o vacuum hose that was lose, but I could not find where to connect it so I just put in a drillbit to be able to drive. Can anyone help me to solve the problem with the mystery hose? See picture.

Greetings from Stockholm

Not sure where that vacuum hose goes, but you might look for a broken fitting nearby. You might also find a diagram for your year model. I have a Haynes repair manual and can look thru it if you don't have one or cannot find a diagram. As for the CC, it is also vacuum operated, and he probelms may be related. Also, not sure if the recall affects your year model, but look at the first sticky thread in the 80-96 forum on the CC switch recall. Good luck, JSM84

Good to hear from you again Swede. There should be a diagram either on the hood or the radiator support.

Good luck,

:)>-
