My core support on my 1973 ,all of a sudden has started cracking completely in half in some places, enough so the radiator is tilting. Can anyone give some tips about replacing it.How about where to buy the replacement.I noticed that the support and brackets are about one hundred dollars more at Wild horses than Tom's,does anybody know if there is a quality difference, and if so who has the best,I hate buying junk.Im not a real experienced welder, but I have a little wire feed welder, money says I have to do it myself, any input appreciated.

BANDIT....awesome 73...with a grenaded core support....in Afton,Wyoming. <)

Not really a "critical-mass" area.... Since you have the welder, can't you just pull the radiator & "scarf" in some sheetmetal patches & re-paint..?

May need to pull grill of as well but no biggie... ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I doubt the patches would even be noticable.
