Need to replace my exhaust system. On my 90 Bronco I have 2 cats. Was wondering if I could only remove the rear and go with a 3" muffler and tail pipe. Or just scrape the whole system and go with a single cat system.

If exhaust is good from engine to first cat,go with 3" back. Worked for me.

The 2 cat system is the same as the more modern single cat which has two functions inside. Notice where the air injection port is, between the two. Check out a universal replacement, the port is in the center of the cat. If you need to replace one then the other will probably be going soon. I'd get new pipes and a universal cat. You can get Walker pipes from the exhaust manifold back. Not inexpensive, but if you do it right you won't be doing it over again next year.

Good luck,

:)>-
