Whats the difference between EFI and carburated? Which one is better? How you convert from EFI to carburated?

This is a joke right...?

No...? Well then, Carb's are "old school" ..... Elect. fuel injection is on most all late model vehicles.

I guess you could say EFI is better ....until something electronic fails  Then you're stuck 'til you find the cause. @-)

A carb. will usually give you some adv. warning prior to catastrophic failure. b-(

Well first of all there are NO STUPUID QUESTIONS HERE OTHER THAN THE ONES THAT ARE NOT ASKED . In my opinion most people will say fuel injection sucks put a carb on it but usually those people also dont have a clue as to how the fuel injection works and just see it as a very confusing ball of wires . I used to be the same way but them I kept trying to understand how it worked and now I wouldnt give the fuel injection up for anything . The EECIV is a very complex computer it has to be to be able to control an entire engines functions and make changes to the injector pulses and timing on the fly in just milliseconds . But it is not too complex to hook up it only requires a few sensors to operate so alot of the useless stuff can come off then its not bad at all . The companies like painless and ron fransis wire works have pretty much just taken a factory harness and stripped it of all the uneeded things to give it a clean look and simplified install process and in that they are willing to charge you $500 to $600 for the convienience . A carb does have some advantages yes its probably not going to totally leave you stranded somewhere but what iff a needle didnt seat off are you going to be able to hold it to the floor back to your destination probably not and once it floods out in your anger are you going to run the battery dry trying to get it restarted probably so now your just as stranded as you would be with a fuel injection failure except now you cant even listen to the radio till your buddies come by to laugh at you . A fuel injection system has many advantages over a carb , Gass milage, truck will not flood out on a steep incline or decline,You dont have to tinker with it everytime the weather changes to keep it just right( the computer does that for you) , **** if you wanted the truck would remain running upside down , Once you undestand how the system works its not hard at all to diagnose a problem and fix it and most likely the system wont fail in the first place . Just my opinion on that :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
