Just bought my first Bronco this past Saturday. Went to put gas in this a.m. and gas started to leak from what I am assuming is the filler. Totally not mechanically inclined. Any advice greatly appreciated. By the way it is a 1996 with 5.0

First, welcome to the Zone. Post some pictures when you get a chance. Also add the truck vital information to your signature, it helps when someone is attempting to give you a remote hand.

I assume you mean that it leaks back near the tank. If so, then yes it could be a fill tube or it could be a leaky tank. You have to get under it and find out where it is dripping from.

Good luck,

:)>-

I found the problem. It is the filler hose. Called every parts place in town cant find one. It seems that it is only a dealer item. If anyone knows a different vendor. Please let me know.

Welcome to the Bronco Zone! >

Have you tried the bone yards? aka Junk yards, aka auto salvage yards

It should be a double hose (vent hose inside of fill hose).

if you dont want to go to a junk yard...here is a LINK not to bad i guess. it would be way cheaper just to go to a yard though. faster too...
