If you "Check engine" light is on you should have some codes that point you at the problem.

Good luck,

I also suggest that you do what I did, and that is grab yourself a Ford Digital Code Reader best $30.00 you'll spend on that rig.

Second after using it and getting all your codes and before figuring out what you need to replace first...

Take a look at this picture I've included of a In Tank Fuel Pump from a Bronco.

Then ask yourself, if you think it's worth the time to drop your tank and inspect and or replace this unit in your bronco before investing monies that you may not have to at this point.

I mean, I could have told you that your IAC (idle air control) needs to be cleaned or that you may need a new TPS (throttle positioning sensor) needs to be replaced... While these things may be true. I doubt it...

Would it help to understand that I found myself in the same boat your floating in. I doubt that replacing these items first will relieve your troubles... It's just time, discconect your battery, remove some bolts and lower your tank (ahh, yeah empty equals lighter) remove the hanger assembly and inspect it and your pick up screen/filter sock but if it looks like the image in the picture... Well, it can be the ultimate source of your trouble regardless of what the code reader finds.

I also replaced my Tank too, considering it was as old as the truck and that Jeffs Bronco Graveyard had em stock.
