Hey all,

I am in need of passenger front brake lines. All of them if possible. driving home from work today and my brakes went. Turns out that the front right line burst on me. Can someone please help me out?

Thanks

Give them a call, 93 shouldnt be any different from your 96
The difference is that mine has the ABS system, that makes the lines different. I am still not certain which one it is that went, but last year the drivers side burst on me. The line that goes from just behind the wheel well to what I am assuming is the ABS box. It is more than likely the same line on the passenger side that went this time. I am going to climb under there this weekend and find it. But really I need to replace all the lines. I could get them fabricated I suppose, but it would be easier if someone already had them.

So.....I took a look at the brakes to find exactly where the break is, and it is what I thought. The line is corroded through the wheel well joint. Not only that the line is corroded throughout the truck. The ABS no longer works, dang near every line is corroded. Looks like I am going to have to replace the entire brake system...YIKES!!!

I'm with ya, bro. I just had to replace mine after the rear line blew. It wasn't a bad fix, though.

I got the line pretty cheap- I got away with some pre cut sections. Autozone also sells coils of line, if you bring in the tip and some line to match the diameter, they can flare it for you, or lend you the flaring tool.

I made the mistake of using cheap tools AKA Crescent wrench and Vice Grips. These promptly stripped the mess out of the little nuts. To get them off easier, use some pb weld or wd-40. spray on the ends and wait for a couple minutes for the rust to break up, then give it a go with the right size wrench.

The most important thing I learned was to never sit up when you are near that spike thing that sticks out from the frame. Almost lost my eye.

Good luck.
