I'm having trouble replacing the stop light switch. I recall a previous repair where I had to "bend" it per the directions included with the switch. I can't remember exactly. Does anyone have any advice?

i replaced mine a couple of weeks age due to my brake lights staying on and running down the battery. it is located on the brake petal shaft about the bottom of the dash level. all you do is remove a cotter pin and and a 2 green wire plug. do the reverse for putting it in. easiest thing you'll do on that truck i promise.
