not to be mean but dont you think that is the first place that i checked to get the diagram but there is nothing in there that will help me believe me i pretty much know the haynes manual inside out but i have made some good friends on here that are willing to help me out when i come across a situation that i can not figure out myself.

Thank you to all my new friends that have been there for me!!!

According to the information in the post that Broncojoe referenced, your exterior lights and your instrument lights are both on the circuit protected by fuse #4. If your dash lights are the only thing that quit working (and the outside lights still work), I would suspect the the light switch itself is the source of your problem. A cheap and easy fix.

Here is a list of grounds for a '92 - '96 bronc

I took a look in my Haynes manual.

They list 10 separate grounds... A-J.

A. Starter mounting bolt

B. Right front of Engine compartment near the battery

C. Lower left front of engine

D. Right front of engine compartment on upper radiator support.

E. Left front of engine compartment Upper radiator support

F. Bottom of cowl panel

G. Rear of left fender apron

H. Behind bottom of right cowl panel

I. Left rear corner of cargo area near rear lamp assembly

J. Under center rear of vehicle on rear cross member.

A bad ground may be your problem. If an '86 is similar to a '90 then grounds B and D should be cleaned.

Otherwise you know the drill, check for power and grounds at each location. Maybe you have 5 bad bulbs :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> nah.. not even with your truck :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

If your problem is that fuse your talking about blows and goes to the parklamps and dash lights...check the harness connector behind the drivers side taillamp....they are really bad about corrosion and causing an open ground...mine was real bad so i cut the connector out and butt connected and heat taped everything back together and works perfect now...just a thought...also if you have a trailor hitch check to see if you have 1 or 2 more connectors behind the rear bumper for corrosion....hope this helps some...
