First off I want to say that I am sorry. I am new to these boards and I didn;t realize there was a technical support section...I have been posting questions on the General Discussion section...I am sure that was anoying!

Okay. Here it is. I have a 1990 Bronco with some blowby. It is not horrible...oil gets on the plugs...then I have to clean them off. As of now it is basically a hassle.

How can I fix this?

A "commander" reccomended a rering kit. Any other ideas?

I have also head PCV valve? That oviously a h*lluva lot cheaper to install than a rering!

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Mike,

Do replace that PCV valve.

Some info for you;

"The positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) system (Figure 1) vents harmful blow-by fumes from the

engine crankcase into the engine air intake for burning with the fuel and air mixture. The PCV

valve limits crankcase blow-by gas to the fresh air intake to suit the engine demand and serves to

For those of you who want a better solution, along comes a company I just discovered (two years after I wrote this article) who makes a very simple and cost effective product that will fix your blow-by problems forever. Take a look here for a quick description of what this device is and what it does. You can then send me a mailnote to get further information, or to order the EnValve. Just include your name, address, and the year, make and model of your car with the engine type included. See below UPDATE for more information. The inventor of this device guarantees that it will stop blowby problems and eliminate the need for that copper T and milk jug! http://www.misterfixit.com/envalve.htm
I have to say that miesk5 has nailed this one for you. I'm in the process of addressing my PCV system too. First I found the oil in the air filter, then when I pulled diagnostic codes I got another clue that I've been neglecting this critical area. I'll probably go with the envalve as soon as I can order it. Then I'll flush with Seafoam to get rid of the sludge that has undoubtedly been building up.

BTW....

Let me be the first to say...

Welcome aboard!

You'll find this website a great resource.

Good Luck.

Lonnie
