Hows it goin? I just put 35x12.50 tires on my bronco, and i feel like i lost all my power. I know I need to change my gears, and was thinking of getting some 4.11's. I was just wondering if anyone had any good advice on brand names or gear size.

yukon gears are reall the best , and i was in the same boat i got some 35 inch pro comps and it was like i was pullin a tralior full of cinderblocks but yeah a 4.10 is your best bet for a little more pick up and best gas for preformance i went ahead and put some 4.56s in mine but i probaby should have gotten some 4.10s ... would have been better on gas

4:10,s is what I run in mine with 35 inch super swampers , I think they were genuine gear . Havent had any problems . I have a C6 tranny . I sometimes I wish I had geared just a bit lower sometimes I pull a car trailer with the bronco and the 4:10 ,s are fine for just the truck but when pulling something I wish it had 4:56, s . You can get a brand new set of gears off ebay for just over $100 if you look just go to ebay motors and search ford 8.8 . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

New gears go in the diff right? So you need gears for the front and rear, and of course they must match then right?

Correct broncosaurus
but as long as the ratos are close with in one or two right cause i think there is a 4.10 and a 4.11 thats close enough right cause you have very little play before you start tearin stuff up ne thing worse that that and youll tear out your trans case

I've uswed them all. Richmond,Motive gear,Precision Gear,Strange,Yukon and a generic Summit brand. The only one's I ever had a problem with were the Precision gear's,but that was only with one set. The best in my opinion are the Strange gear's but of course there the most expensive.I'm currently running Richmond in my Bronco.

I think you're better off swapping axle gears to 4.10's or 4.56's for the 35" tires. Don't know of any way to modify the stock t-case gearing, except maybe to install another t-case with lower gearing like an Atlas I or II ($$$). I put 4.56 Genuine gears from 4WParts, and they have a lifetime guarantee. Total cost for both axles was about $460, including the master install kits. LAbor would be about $425-$450 for both axles in my area. I sold those axles when I did the SA, but the dude running thsoe 4.56's has my old 6" lift and some 36" TSL's. Works great with a min-spool in the 9" rear and a full spool in the front Dana44 TTB. You will need to change carriers for a gear swap above 3.92. I boguht the mini- and full spools off ebay.
