Belt squeal

I just replaced the alternator, water pump and all the belts on my 86 302. It did fine for the first few days, but now, on initial startup, a belt squeals for a few seconds. It seems to to be the alternator/smog pump belt, so I loosened it, then tightened it. But both ways, it still sqeals. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yep..,

Cheap belts are a poss. Gatorback, Goodyear, Duralast & a few others are the way to go....

Its a cheap belt! The belt on my wife's Jeep dose the same thing. I put a cheap $18.00 belt on and not the good $35.00 belt because what the **** a belts a belt. Wrong, now all I hear is when are you going to buy the good belt for my Jeep. I have to tightening the belt every other week because its a cheap belt till I remeber to pick up the good one which will be this week. Over the years I have discovered that you get what you pay for when it comes to parts and tires. Nothing is a good deal!!
