Howdy ya'll,

I've seen quite a few Broncos around town that have had a special bedliner spray coating applied to their fiberglass tops. I talked to the #1 guy in town that does them, the price is fair, it looks super cool, and it's supposed to protect the fiberglass.

Have any of you done this? Do you spray the inside and out?

How much trouble is it to remove the top, and then replace with new seals?

Just trying to figure out if this would be a dumb move. The colors come in a variety of shades from grey to black...which I know will increase the heat inside.

Just let me know what you think.

removing the top isn't hard it's akward. you may need help. i took mine of myself but was VERY careful not to let it fall. i haven't put it back on yet but, i believe if you store it correctly- on something level and dry your seals should be ok. i may be wrong i haven't had my bronco too long. also depending on the year the bolts holding it on may be different. my 1990 were all standard bolts- no torx.

i think it would look cool. i would spray inside and out though. but i would probably do the outside black liner and then the inside the original color to maintain the original interior sort of. that's just me though.

like firelt i'm looking to get a soft top (fastrac standard) in the very near future. i just love having the top off too much. but it's a good idea who knows maybe i'll end up doing that if i can't afford my soft top by winter.

Has anyone on this board actually done this? I'd like to know someone who has that might be able to tell me the pros and cons. Thanks.
