Bed liner in back of Bronco

So the guy whom I bought my bronco from took the carpet out of the back to just under the front of the back seat. I was thinking of putting bed liner down so I don't have to deal with hay plus carpet, has anyone thought of or done this? Any recomendations as to a bed liner kit that's easy to put down and semi cheep? Thanks guys!! /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

It sounds like you are going to be hauling Hay in the back of your Bronco.  Me?  I'd have bought a pickup to do that, but our interest's are different.  Without carpeting and insulation under it, the inside road noise would drive me nuts as I use my Bronco as a daily driver.  There are a number of different bed liners you can buy.  Most readily available thru your local Auto Parts Store.  You could buy a 1gal can and a paint roller to lay it down.  That would keep the mess down to a minimum.  On the puls side, you are keeping a Bronco alive.  KUDOS!!  Good luck with your project, Brian

I'm with BMAD..,

IMHO, anything other than "smooth" paint is not an option. 

Those knee grinding mega sandpaper coatings are horrible according to everyone I've talked

to that's done it. Not to mention trying to clean it.., even the smoother coatings.

They wouldn't do it again..!

A nice (noise eating) carpet.., then a store bought semi-thick rubber mat that can be pulled out 

when necessary is the way to go.  (saving $$$ & messy labor)

I'm pretty sure if you put down carpet & a custom bed mat.., you will notice the diff.

I suppose those flesh eating coatings are fine for rock crawlers & mud runners as

they can go home & hose out the whole inside of the cab-n-bed.

BTW.., which rig is yours..., the white one or the blue one? (you show pics of both)

And are they the same year..?  Be sure to mention on any mech. questions.

Haha 2? nah there's 3. The blue on blue with the horse in the picture is the beast that got me into these rigs back in high school, that one was an 85. I was working on that thing every day that it wasn't parked in my autoshop class then I was working on it twice.

The blue on white that is my prof. pic was one I bought last summer another 85 was driving her home from purchase and she blew up, thought it was a bloiwn head gasket....turns out it was a shattered block.... to much money for a new engine and go to school, I had to sell her.

My new rig (the one i'm wanting to put bedliner in) is a hunter green 93 Eddie Bauer ed. she's slow shifting, has no heater core, passenger window doesn't work, gas gauge doesn't work, no back window, needs some body work, and needs a new shell(?) canopy(?).

Ahhhh.., thanks., that was my point. You want to be sure the helpers you get here are on the same page (truck).

Finishing up your info. pages will go a long way to that end.
