I am replacing the battery in my 89 full size, I have been an interstate fan for years. Looking for opinions on the optima, is it better and if so why?

The advantage of an Optima over a standard battery is mainly in it's internal design that makes it less prone to damage from being jarred around. Internally a standard battery has plates that are in strait rows, while the optima design is cylindrical shape. Optima was designed with hard usage in mind. A Google search yields this http://www.optimabatteries.com/home.php probably all you will want to know about the battery.

Good luck,

:)>-

I'd perfer a yellowtop over anything. Though a battery is a battery, and design is design. The usage plays a big role.. Plus a yellowtop you can lay on its side, which can be helpful for certain needs.
