I'm assuming hot front hubs are not normal, esp. when they are supposed to be disengaged, so can anyone verify before I pull apart and change bearings?

After about 20 mi. they become too hot to hold my hand on.

Even if the hubs are not disengaging as they should, heat shouldn't be normal???

 /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> They should get very warm from normal friction/use, but not super hot. I would check the wheel bearings first to make sure you have grease in there! If the grease looks questionable, repack the bearings and see if that helps(grease is cheap). You may want to check to make sure that you don't have a caliper dragging on the rotor creating heat that way. Just a thought, hope this helps.

Brown is correct. First though I would feel your wheels. They will also be hot. What part of the country are you in cause this might have somethin to do with it. Do the back wheels get as hot as the front ones. They should not but they will also be really warm. If the rears feel really hot and the fronts are piping hot then there is probably not a problem. I would however repack em just in case. Checkin the brakes is also a realllly good idea.
