I am planning on controlling my AOD with a floor mounted shifter, and I was wondering if I should employ a Lokar shifter or B&M shifter. I am leaning more towards the Lokar but hear the installation is ruff. Can anyone give me a clue as to what Im in for? I do not have a twin stick yet but am considering this in the future. And the transmission is already in.

I used the B&M "Starshifter"... about a 1 1/2 banana job.

Following the directions is the key.... It has 7 in-dents & I only needed 6 with my C-4. Not getting this set right can be frustrating. (I had no trouble but I know a transmission guy who couldn't fig. it out)

I liked only having to make "one" small hole in the floor for the "cable".

You need to build your own wire kit to the solenoid for "park-neutral" starting only. It comes with the b/u light switch & neutral safty switch & they're quite sensitive to set as they're both locked in place with the same two small bolts. You'll need to re-route/lengthen the b/u light wires as well.

I really like mine....It has the "rachet" shift feature but I don't really need it for 4x4'n. Handle makes a good hand-rest....It's a sturdy unit. I would do another veh. if the need arose. ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
