:-& Hey everyone I'm new here. I've been trying to fix this antifreeze leak for the last 8 months on my own. The problem is that the antifreeze puddles up on top of the timing chain cover on both low point creveses. It does'nt leak when in park, just when driving (of course so I can't see where it is coming from). I've never experienced this much difficulty with coolant systems. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone has had problems with antifreeze oozing up through the back seal of there timing chain cover. I already replaced the water pump and thermostat (after that I took them both off again to reseal them), then I replaced all the hoses on the upper part of the engine and also replaced the thermostat housing. Just today I did a pressure test and while the system was under pressure, I washed off the antifreeze puddles on the timing chain cover and then watched the green crap come back out of now where??????????????? Could it be possible for antifreeze to come out of the timing chain cover? Oh, I have a 95' Bronco XLT, 5.8L. Thanks for reading this lengthy sob story.....

I had the same problem a couple of years back with another car with the same engine. I found the leak to coming out of the intake gasket. The gasket between the lower intake and the head right in front just above the timing cover. The part of the gasket around the water jacket of the head had deteriorated and started leaking. Don't know if that is what your problem is but just an idea.

I know where your're talking about, but I don't think it is coming from there. The reason is because I got this crazy die that you spray into your radiator. This stuff is just like flouresent colors under a blacklight. It makes the antifreeze that leaks out of your system glow when a special UV light is pointed at it. This stuff also leaves kind of a trail from it's leaking point and I cannot find it which leads me to beleive that it is seeping and not dripping from somewhere.
