OK, so I have had this really weird problem with my brakes for a while, so I finally got a computer on it to read for any fault codes ( I have a 93 now, and oh how I miss the 79, stupid computers). OK back to my problem; I have isolated my issues to the ECU, sometimes called an Anti-Lock brake control unit. I have found the part at Auto Zone, but they aren't available any longer! ***.. exactly.. does anyone know where I can score one?

The anti lock brake module is not to be confused with the ECU .The ECU controls the engine functions sometimes the tranny functions ( E4OD) The anti lock brake module is located behind the glovebox and all I have seen are kinda gold in color . They may very well be a dealer only item and the old style with rear antilock only are getting old enough to where they may be being phased out . I do have one in a 92 that im parting out if interested . Just didnt want you buying an ECU from someone and having it be totally not what you thought it was . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Well..... ****... I looked in the Bronco Bible and found the ECU was diagramed on the driver side, just above the plastic wheel well... which is below the radiator overflow/ws washer fluid box. So.... two bolts later and it is in my hand.... ECU in the book mind you... and it says "Anti-Lock brake control module " printed on the side.. no shit... I can post a picture if you want it....... so... I found one online and it wasn't too much.... so if it turns out this is the wrong part... I just might have to get that one from you... I have a 93... think yours will work? Thanks by the way, I appreciate it.

Ive never seen anything mounted out there before except the fuse box that all the front harness runs into . And a smaller box with the fuel pump relays mounted in it . I would like to see pics . I did see on a 96 once where the antilock brake module was mounted close to that area but it had 4 wheel antilock last year of the bronco its like a pump and has I think it was 6 lines coming out of it . If you could post some pics yes Id like to see . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
