The stock fuel guage is unreliable in my 89 bronco. So i went out and got a aftermarket guage and I'm putting a custom center counsel in i want to mount the guages in there, but my problem is that there are no directions to wire the fuel guage. Does anyone know how to wire it . I am decent at wiring but i'm kinda lost with this dash setup. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank- You

I'm not going to be a whole lot of help, but I do know a couple of things...

You'll need the proper sending unit for that gauge to work. In order to find that, you need to know how many ohms. I'll look around and see if I can find anything else for you. Who manufactured your aftermarket gauge?

Does your trip odometer work? I ran around my 88 with no fuel gauge the whole time I had her, never putting more than 150+/- miles on her at one time. So if you can't get the new gauge to work, it's a suggestion :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Yeah it works i get around 200 miles then im lookin at prices. but the guage stays pinned to WAY over full till it hits oround 1/4 tank then it comes down then it kinda works. i mean it gives me a general idea of how much but it would be nice to have a functioning guage. Besides i think the new councel would look cool with digital guagea mounted.

New gauges would be cool and it is definalty nice to have a functioning fuel gauge. I made that a top prority when I looked for another bronco =)

Any chance you could find a stock working gauge out of a junkyard or someone's parts bronco? It might not look as cool, but I am sure putting it in will be less complicated!

These are the second set of guages. And i'm worried its more than the guages. how would i test it short of pulling the gas tank. By the way Trailmule that rocks on the paint but what is wierd is my 89 f150 was basically the same colors. The guages out of a f150 within the 88-92 will work.

I don't really like to correct people, but sometimes the info is important, I would like to correct the years to 87-91. 92 is different. Sorry.
