After 3km the brakes come on ?????

Drive 3km and the brakes slowly come on ??? no noise or hissing from the booster, pedel comes to the top and braking is very sharp, front wheels smelling and smoking !!! leave it turned off for 10 mins and drive 2km before it all does it again !!!! all began suddenly 3 days ago, the person writing this is extraordinarily NON TECHNICAL, local repair shop says "new booster" !!//!? bad news!! its 12km to work !!! and back !!! HELP !

I'd say it's either the booster and master cylinder, or a caliper sticking. IT's not that common for both to stick, unless you have alot of wear, dirt, mud, or rust on the front brakes. Try checking the fluid level in trhe m.c., and look for any leaks front and rear. The rear brake cylinders will often start leaking first.

I had a volkswagen that did a similar thing, it had an adjustable brake pushrod. The master wasn't allowed to let the fluid return to the res. I had to crack a bleader valve every few miles to release the pressure, sounds like a booster may be the prob. or check the pedle is returning all the way.
