Hi there..

I am mentally preparing myself to install A Lockright Powertrax Automatic Positive Locking Differential in my 1984 Ford Bronco. Can anyone give me a step by step on how to do it?

A step by step with pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Someone was kind enough to help me out with Pics for my BrakePad changes. It helped me alot.

Thanks

Brent

i'm assuming this is going in the rear axle? if that is the case, the install is relatively simple.

- start by jacking up the rear of the vehicle and supporting the axle housing with quality jackstands.

-then remove the tires, open up the housing by removing the access cover on the back and drain all the fluid.

-push the brake drums in slightly in order to remove the c-clips that retain the axle shafts.

-pull the axleshafts out of the housing enough to disengage the side gears and spider gears.

- thoroughly read the directions provided to you by the manufacturer, and install the locker

-push the axle shafts back in far enough to re-insert the c-clips into the machined groove on the splined end of the shaft.

- pull the shafts back outward to engage the c-clips fully

- put RTV sealant around the diff cover, bolt it back up, and fill the diff with fluid.

- bolt the tires up, and spin them to make sure everything works right

take the rig out for a test drive. be easy at first to break it in, then enjoy your locker
