AC selector not working good

Does anybody have a fix for this 93 bronco my ac vent selector switch does not switch to the correct location( vent, defrost,floor, etc) and air is always coming out of the dash vents. Also on my 96 bronco everytime i go up hill or trottle up on the gas heavely my ac blows out of the windshield vents , after you slack of the gas it goes back to what ever the ac vent selector is on. Please Help. Ford dealer could not find this one.

That is the typical symptom of loss of vacuum to the vent control. The failure default is to give you defrost. Check the black vacuum line from the function control block back to the vacuum tank. It goes thru a harness vacuum connection block at the firewall then to a check valve with 3 connections; 1 to the control, 1 to the vacuum tank and one back to the main vacuum tree on the intake manifold.
