Hey guys i need your help. I recently purchased a 96' Bronco XL with a 5.0L. Got it at 125,000 miles and rust free for $4,000. Its my baby and i want to make some improvements. I would like to know what size tires i can fit under this thing without anykind of a lift. I also would like to know what flowmasters i should get that will make my Bronco sound good with out replacing the headers. Since i'm in college i'm on a budget, so any help any a ballpark figure of how much this will cost would be a lot of help. Thanks.

Welcome to Bronco Zone!!! A 31x10.50 tire will fit without any lift, although a 33x12.50 may fit with minor adjustment of the front bumper. Try searching the forums, this is a common question. A Flowmaster 40 series muffler is about $100.

Welcome to the Zone! >

If you follow JSM's advice you should have no trouble.

Blade: Thanks for that link, I look there for everything else but didn't think about it for the 40's.

Good luck and don't forget to post some pics in your Gallery.

Yeah i was thinking that a 31's would be a perfect fit. For the most part i try to stay away from mud (past experiences when spotting with friends) and go more for trail riding which involves alot of articulation at the trails where i'm from. So what i'm basically askin is would a 31" rub at all in the conditions that i'm talking about? Again any help would be great.

yeah and i would like to get some more interior plastic covers for the back top. The last guy that had my bronco said that he had takin off the top and misplaced the bottom side covers for the bolts. I checked Jeff graveyard and even emailed them and they don't have them, so if anybody knows where i can get them that would be great, the salvage yard here only has a totaled 89' eddie bauer and aint nothing good coming off that beast.

CM, a 31" tire should not rub at all. You can send me a PM about the trim for the top, I have two full sets white or blue. JSM84

Thats the only problem. The interior of my bronc is a certain type of grey, kind of a light grey not dark grey. Its hard to match any interior replacement parts to it.

31s should do fine.

For the trim panels you could always just get a couple of pieces of wood triimed, routed, and stained. I always thought that would look nice with the right wood.
