I have a '94 Bronco - 5.8L. I am having some intermittent vibration between 20-40mph. It smooths out when I reach 50 mph. Also, when I am going uphill and downshift to accelerate, white smoke comes out the back of the Bronco.

Help.

Thanks

As for the vibration, I'd check out your U-joints on the driveshaft.

The smoke could be oil or coolant. Either way, it looks like a problem is developing. Maybe you better get someone to follow you to determine which it is. rings or head gasket.

Good luck,

:)>-

Welcome to the Zone! >

White smoke is usually coolant burning.

One way to check this is to pull the oil dip stick and look for coolant in the oil.

Another way to check is to look in the radiator for oil (over flow reservoir is another place to check for this)

If either of these check positive chances are good that you have a blown head gasket. You *MIGHT* be able to figure out which side is bad by pulling the spark plugs and check for any signs of coolant.

I hope this helps.

walk behind the truck while its running if it smells sweat then you have antifreeze leaking into a cylinder doesnt necessarily have to leak into the oil . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
