My A/C compressor cycles on and off constantly even though it's turned off inside the cab. Any ideas as to why this is happening? I disconnected and taped up the wire to the compressor for a short term fix, but I'd like to get it working again. It stays on for about two minutes, cycles off for about ten seconds, then comes right back on again. Thanks in advance for the help.

It's been a while, but it still blows cold. I figure it doesn't need to be charged.

have you checked behind your climate controls for any loose connections or a direct short on the a/c switch. or the same with any other wires going to the accumulator which has your compressor cycling switch on it. 'cause it sound like either the relay thats inside the cab is frozen in the closed/on poistion. now with it short cycling it could be low on refer. the cycling switch turns the on/off the compressor by the refer pressure. even if it's low it'll still run for a bit and still provide semi-cool air. i'm not to familiar with the 93 electrics but if it any thing close to a 94 ****** there might two relays on the passenger side in the engine compartment close to the fire wall. check with your wire diagram it should tell you where everything is located. i hope this helps!
