My dad and I just swapped a 5.0 in his 94 Bronco out of a 93 F-150. He was driving it home the other night & it just died. Upon inspection I have concluded the the fuse blew for the Distributor pickup, ignition cool, the PCM & the TFI module does anyone have any idea why this happened? Cause when that fuse went it shut off the PCM which shut down the fuel pump.

Was it fuse "i" in;

cab fuse panel, if soon what number is it?

or in Power Distribution Box (PDB)in engine bay? If it was fuse i (eye), then that provides power to the PCM Power Relay.

Or "U", it provides battery power to PCM POWER RELAY COIL?

Or Fuse 13 in cab fuse panel, Blown, Stop & Hazard Lamps, Stop Sensor for Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS) Speed Control & PCM; Short Circuits, Common Locations TSB 95-02-11 for 94-95 Bronco & F Series; wire harness may be pinched/shorted on steering column support behind the dash where the 14401 wire assy may come in contact w/a sharp edge on dash panel wall, I had same short here too & caused E4OD's TCIL (OD switch-LED) to blink like a friggin pia; wires pinched @ brake/tail lights, my 96's stop/turn/tail lights wires were almost cut in half on passenger side against 1/4 panel (inner); wires pinched @ high mount brake light where the wires short on sheet metal;

EEC IV (PCM) wiring diagram, includes PDB FUSE i to PCM Power Relay to THE PCM, Pins 37 and 57, both are for V-PWR (Vehicle Power), that provides supply voltage (regulated 10-14 volts) within the PCM

One possible short that pops PDB FUSE i is at the Canister Purge Solenoid (CANP) wiring harness that shorts out on the exhaust manifold or EGR TUBE.

EDIT!!

ADDING FOLLOWING;

Inpected the PCM connector IN ENGINE BAY, ENSURE IT AND WIRES ARE OK.

Yo,

Look at the diagram again, there is no fuse 22.

Pick it out using the diagram

I can't open the Diagram and type using my Tablet and because I can't post the pic of it here

Is it fuse U in PDB?

Yo,

Let me revise my last statement, we need the wiring diagram showing battery to fusible link to PDB & ignition switch.

Usual suspects are;

Bad Fusible Link ... most fusible links have melted/charred insulation when they burn out

Ignition switch ... can test the switch for continuity if needed.

Fusible Link Location pics in an 85 & 89 the first two pics are of an 89 5.0. because of the loom i wasnt able to trace the wires...The second pic is at the starter relay to show you a fusible link wire (the green wire in my fingers you can see at the eyelet there is a black plastic block). the third pic is of my 85. i think that big block is another style fusible link ford used on older stuff (but im not sure)..."
