Yes, this is my first post on the forum, and I hope I did due diligence searching before posting. If I didn't, please don't be too harsh.
I recently purchased a 1993 Bronco, 5.8L. The guy that sold it to me (mechanic) hooked up his diagnostic scanner and showed me "111". It previously had EGR codes, but he reworked all the EGR problems on the vehicle and it runs great. Emissions passed as good as a new vehicle.
I attempted the KOER and KOEO tests and I also get "111" feedback. Here's where I am getting confused:
When I jump the test plug under the hood, I get feedback from the ABS light. This really threw me off as I was expecting the Check Engine light to give me feedback when doing the diagnostics. My dash has the ABS light underneath the Check Engine light in the bottom right corner of the instrument cluster. The Check Engine light remains on at all times while the ABS light gives me the code flashes.
So, I guess I have two questions -
1. Is it correct for the ABS light to give me the diagnostic feedback?
2. If I have no codes, anyone have ideas on what could cause the check engine light to stay on?
Thanks, everyone!
PS - thanks to everyone that documented the rear window problems on this forum. Had mine fixed in under 2 hours /
