My son went mudding and after he came home he was having problems with the brakes going to the floor. Brake fluid level is fine. Looking for suggestions on where to start diagnosing the problem. Thanks.

you might want to check your brake lines thats a start and slowly work your way up to the propotinal valve and master cylender P.S make sure you check the lines over good.

yep sounds like you have a nic somewhere in the lines possibly. it's not sustaining the right amount of pressure. check all the lines you might want to ut dsome water on the line and have someone push teh break and watch for bublles. you might have air in there.

dont use water to find brake leaks brake fluid is hygroscopic meaning it is self contaminating and will absorb the water reducing the boil point of the fluid leading to brake failure.

after the underside is dry have him get in and pump the brakes and look for wet spots or drip/spray also pull the drums and check for bad wheel cylinders if the fluid went (as in dry master cyl.) it may also need to be bled or you still wont get a pedal even after bleeding the wheels
