I am using the entire IFS except the housing I am using from the 92' bronce because they are different leghts and I already have installed the new 4" BDS lift kit on everything. I cannot use the lift kit for the f250 housings. The only diffenece is the knucles.

I dont think your goona be able to go the way you want too . The F250 stuff is more than likely a dana 50 , The knuckle width and spindle diameter is all different . When I converted mine like that I wanted to keep the IFS because I already had a very expensive lift kit so I looked around and found the info where in a CHE@? 3/4 ton front the axle is a dana 44 and there is no difference between the 1/2 and 3/4 except from the spindles out so I found one took everything off from the spindles out and after cutting off the caliper mounting ears from the dana 44 IFS front end it bolted right on and gave me 8 lug rotors up front to go with my dana 60 rear . It is best if you have everything off the same axle if you do try to peice the setup together be aware that the 1/2 ton backing plate / caliper mount is around 1/2 inch smaller in diameter than the 3/4 ton setup the 1/2 ton ones will not work . But after removeing the caliper mount ears it is a direct bolt on to the IFS beams . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

the D50 beams aren't exactly like the 44 beams in terms of geometry. you can use *gulp* chevy 8 lug gear to convert. Blade nailed it on the head. just google TTB 8 lug swap for a more complete parts list

the f-250 stuff WILL NOT WORK. you will be putting majorly questionable gear on it if you try to ghetto rig it. better to be safe and just put chevy stuff on there. you certainly wouldnt be the first. chevy outers are frequently used to convert D44's to 8 lug in SAS's. which would you rather have, your safety or your pride?

yeah man I don't wanna ghetto rig anything and I never have done that. But I have talked to a machinist and he told me how we can machine the knucles to fit the bronco housings. The cost is about the same as buying the chevy stuff. About $350. I'm not sure which way i'm going yet.

OK lets clear up this chevy crap , TECHNICALLY there dana parts that ford chose not to use and gm did so they are dana parts and theres nothing wrong with putting them on your ford . Atleast thats what I tell everyone . Second have you actually measured the knuckle width on the 44 and the 50 . If your machinest can machine that much off and still have enought to fit the ball joints in it then hes a magician and you may want to share his number . I looked at all that too and there was just no way the only thing that came close was a 1979 dana 44 3/4 ton front from a ford F250 and it still wasnt close enough to working . The only way to do it safely ( for you and other people ) is to use the gm DANA parts . Oh and if the magician does pull it off you will have to change your tie rod ends because the 3/4 ones are bigger . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Yes Blade I know it's all Dana stuff. The point is I'm just trying to use what I have and the Ford Brakes with 2 piston calipers. Besides this is not a 50 out of the '83 F250 it's all 44 stuff, everything is identical to the Bronco stuff except the 1/2 difference between the ball joints and of course the spindles. This truck I got the stuff from is a light duty F250 with that wanna be semi floater in the rear but get this it has a 460 in it, go figure.Heres some pictures. I can't get pictures to post will try again later.

I would bet that it is a dana 50 I had an 83 F 250 that had the same light duty rear its an 8.8 with 8 lug axles in it by the way thats a bastard rear end too . And mine had a 50 up front . Look on the passenger side of the front pig where the stub axle goes in . Does it have 3 bolts that retain the axle shaft in the housing ? A 44 uses a c clip thats inside and its a real pain in the ass to get the pig out a 50 uses that 3 bolt ****** to retain the axle . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

i seriously doubt that chevy parts is going to cost you 350 bucks. most JY's have more 10 bolts than they care to mention, so you can probable get them to torch off the ends for 200 max. about the only thing useful on the TTB 50 is the inner slip shaft which is much larger than the 44 slip.
