I was wondering if anyone else was having this same problem and if they did, how they fixed it. I have an 88' that is having a problem lowering and raising the rear glass. What happens is that the window will start to go down, then stop and the motor just whirs and I'm forced to push on the glass to get it to move. I removed the access panel to see what was going on, and I can't tell for sure. Is this a common problem? Do I have to replace the motor or is it a simple sproket replacement? Is there anyway to tell for sure? To me it sounds as though the motor is okay, but that there may be a sproket that is missing teeth or something of that nature. If anyone has any ideas on this they'd be most appreciated. Thanx.

This is one of the most common problems with the 80's Broncs... Its funny, almost, because if its not a problem with your tailgate rusting out, its your rear window motor frying, or the rear window seals rotting...

Good times, all around :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
