I have a 88 full size bronco with the one piece looking hubs and one is brokeing. It is locking in and out by itself.I would like to chance out to normal locking hubs.I have been told that I can switch with a f-150 or Bronco but I would need to go with the whole axle shafts and the nuckel out.I don't mind doing that but It would cost just as much to switch to a solid axle.I just replaced all the ball joints and bearings can I reuse the bearings and/or the ball joints. Plus I was never told what yrs I can pull from.

I have an 88 (early yr 88) and I'm running 35 muds and I do not know what gears are in. I believe that they are stock 3.53.It has a 6" lift and has the 351 W in it.I do not know what tranny I have nor T-case.The #'s are not there. I'm new to the Bronco family but not to the 4x4 family. I do prefer to do the work myself as cheaply and safely as I can. Any and all help appreciated. Thank you [-o<

Jeff's Bronco Graveyard sells a complete strait axle kit, but I would doubt that you can do it at the same price of changing from the nuckles out. I'm sure you could find what you need to do either conversion by collecting parts from an auto recycler but you will get new stuff from a place like Jeff's.

Good luck,

Thanks . I have been there but the funds are't. In my area I can get an axle for under 200.00 complete.
