I have an 88 bronco 2 that the electrical system is giving me trouble. Right now I can not get the headlights to work to save my life. The running lights, brake lights, turn signals all work fine. Checked all the fuses with a multi and they are fine. The bulbs are good. With the power on I pulled the connector of the back of the headlight and checked for continuity to ground and nothing. Is the headlight switch in the cab bad or is there a relay I am not seeing?

Also I have a problem with the fuse that controls the radio and other crap. The guy I bought it off of installed trail lights on the brush guard. He wired it to the radio fuse on the back side of the fuse box as far as I can tell. But I think he did a shoddy job of it because they stop working but don

The headlight circuit does not run through the fuse panel. The switch has an internal breaker that should auto reset if it is overloaded, which will cause the lights to go on and off, that is if it is not bad of course. From there it goes to the HI / LO Dimmer Switch.

When the Hi / Lo switch is on HI your indicator light on the dash should light, if it doesn't the possibilities are: Connections to the Dimmer switch, the dimmer switch, connection from the dimmer switch to the Main light switch to power to the Main switch, (sorry about this, since you are color blind, but the wire feeding the power to the Main Switch is Black with an Orange stripe. It should be hot at all times).

If the hi beam indicator comes on: then your possibilities are the head light connector or the ground for the head lights. The black lead should be grounded. If not, put a jumper on the black lead to ground and also make sure you have 12V on which ever beam you have selected. (light green with black stripe wire is HI, red with black stripe is Lo) get someone that can distinguish colors to help :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> .
