I have some missing bolts for the removable top on my Bronco...does anyone know what kind of threads the bolts are? Metric or SAE? Can I replace the nuts on the inside pretty easy if I need to? The guy before me left the top off in the rain a few times and some of the bolts and nuts are pretty rusty.

Thanks

I think the easiest way to find out the thread, that is unless someone knows off hand, is to take one to a hardware store and they can tell you. As far as replacing nuts, I believe they are welded in place. You could get a die and tap when you go to the hardware store. Use the tap to clean the nut threads and the die to clean the bolts or just get some new ones once you find out the thread.

Good luck,

:)>-

There is an old post in the forums about the thread size, bolt number, etc. and where you can find replacements. I believe the bolts are 8mm. You don't really need all 13 bolts to hold the top, if a few holes are stripped out, 6-8 will do. Just search for "hardtop" and you'll find the link.
