Ok, so I just bought this thing today and I have a couple ?'s

1. What kind of shops can I take it to to get the speedometer checked?

2. Since its an automatic when I shift it into gear the dial on my console doesnt move from the parked position. Where/ how can I fix this or what shop would do work like this?

3. I am missing the 4 wheel drive shifting ****. Anyone know where I can get one?

Welcome to Bronc Zone!!! If you list the year model and any info on the tranny model and engine, it will help out. The engine type is the 8th digit in the VIN and the tranny code is listed in the door jamb sticker on the driver;s side.

One way to test your speedometer is to time yourself between mile markers, Have someone ride with you to run a stop watch, set your truck in a steady 60 MPH and see how long it takes, should be 60 seconds if it is right on. The speedo gear can be changed to correct it, if it is not too far off.

The shift indicator is operated by a small cord that attaches to the steering column. If it is not broken, it may just have become detached. It is necessary to remove the column shroud to get at it. The attachment and adjustment is on the left hand side of the column. If it is broken, the only option is to replace the instrument panel.

Post your need for the **** under the Parts wanted section. Most likely someone here has one or try a junk yard.
