Well here goes my frist post. My buddy just got him a 83 bronco XLT 4x4 with the 5.0 liter motor. He gave a grand for it, the body looks like crap but the motor , trany, tranfer case.... looks good. Well the motor will look good when we ware finish. To be on the safe side we are puttin on a new water pump, fuel pump, oil pump and new carb. Well actually it had no carb

Ok here is my problem. I was replacing the batery terminals and any wires that looked to be in bad shape. On the passenger side fender by the alternator regulator there is a four wire plug. One is a 10 gauge yellow wire that goes to power lead of the starter relay. The other wires are cut and going to nothing. So where might these wires go(what color goes where), or do i need to put power to any of them? Also should i put a fuse on them(what size). It has the sparkomatic 2 system.

Here is a diagram of the 83. This one is for a truck with an ammeter. If it soesn't have an ammeter there are some wiring differences. I'll include both diagrams in two posts.

You definately nees what are referred to as fusable links. They are similar to fuses and the size is listed on the diagrams. If you have any further questions, let us know.

Good luck,

:)>-
