he's a crazy old man. bronco's love going *******. just take care when you store the top. what he's probably talking about concerning the leaks is if the weather stripping seal gets messed up by sitting funky, it will have deformities and possibly let moisture in. and last time i checked, bronco's WERE NOT meant for gas mileage :))

ocalabronco is right; Broncos are made to have their tops come off. Otherwise Ford would have made it a permanent top. ocalabronco also is right about storing the top. Make sure nothing is resting on the weather srtipping or it will deform and if the object on the weather stripping is heavy enough, it could peel the stripping away from the top and window causing a gap. Thus causing water to seep in through the hole. I had this happen to a friend's uncle and he decided to buy a soft top for some reason. So if you are going to take the top off, store it in a place with no objects on it or near any that look like they could fall and you can keep your top leak free!

Gas milage? My 94 gets 7MPG on the best of day's. My baby's had her top off and it's never leaked either.

The problem that crazy old man was referring to occurs if the seals are dried out. If the top has never been taken off, the seals "may" be compressed as flat as they can be then again they may still be in fine shape, you will know that after you take it off the first time. It is possible that they will not survive but that is easily fixed with new seals.

Take your top off and enjoy it.

As far as gas milage, it wasn't in the design plan. However, there are things that can be done to improve it and gain power at the same time. Yes 82BRONCO, you can have your cake and eat it too :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> . It just depends on how much money you want to put into it.

Good luck from another crazy old man :p /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> ,
