80 to 86 9 inch in a 88

I want to be able to try different gears in my 88 that I converted to 2wd so that will call for a 9 inch,will a 1980 to 86 9 inch bolt into my 88 and I am not concerned with the anti lock brake sensor in the later rear ends as I know how to drive and dont need it.

I would get new u-bolt hardware just to be safe and double check the yoke sizes to make sure they are the same, but other than that it should all be a direct swap.
